| Description | In this unique and poignant film, Beau Bridges plays Captain Keene, a U.S. soldier who goes missing in action during the ugliest days of the Vietnam War. Keene is captured by a young Vietcong fighter named Ho (Liam Whatley), who is idealistic and fiercely nationalistic. At first, they are cold and highly distrustful of one another. But as life on the battlefield worsens, they gradually begin to ease up. Eventually, Keene learns that his captor is actually protecting him from abuse by other Vietcong officers. Their mutual respect is put to the ultimate test when Ho chooses to flee with his American POW instead of allowing him to be killed. |
