Where to begin? The idea itself is captivating (but nothing original): showing a stripper's everyday life, asking interesting questions, and getting their perspective.
That's what I wanted. I wanted anecdotes from them, I wanted back story, I wanted interviews, I wanted candid moments.
There WAS some of that, but not nearly enough. But the bits that were captured were gold. Chula admitting that she wasn't happy, and how alone she was, her best friend that's clearly been with her through a lot: it was worth watching and captivating. Poison and her girlfriend talking about their relationship. And my favorite, chick in Atlanta! She was hilarious, and said some really surprising stuff. Something about her was completely real and entertaining and lovable. Why was all that just a tiny sliver of this?
THE REST was Method Man and his idiot friends being predictable goons. I don't need shots of you rolling your blunts, girls dancing OVER AND OVER, and stupid predictable commentary/jokes. I get it. And Travis is the least cool, goofiest, most irritating little crap ever. I wish I could emotionally scar him. Method Man, I love you, but this wasn't worth my time.
