The OVW reputation is what I heard or read in interviews with the guys who worked and trained there. And also them comparing it to the current one, FCW. To them it's not the same but then again that's like somebody saying their hometown is the best of course they're going to say good things.Also about TNA I think I mention that in a earlier comment. For WWE it 2 house shows, a TV taping, and sometimes a PPV every week, and that doesn't include overseas and other appearances, while TNA it's 2 days of taping, maybe a few house show dates, and PPV every month. Plus tapings and PPVs are all in Orlando. Like Kevin Nash said in an interview "I just have to drive down the street from my house. That beats travelling!"I had a similar experience at a TNA house show recently. I was in the front row, Kevin Nash & Eric Young were starting to walk out of the match with Generation Me, and I yelled at them "Are you going to let those little guys kick your @ss, get back in the ring!" EY got right in my face a yelled "ME AND BIG KEV ARE TRYING TALK SO SHUT YOUR MOUTH BEFORE I SHUT IT FOR YOU!" AJ has had real offers since and turned them down. He said ti's because he doesn't want to live on tour. He wants to be able to spend time with his family. I think that is the prime motivation for alot of the TNA guys, that and TNA doesn't reserve the right to sift through your bodily waste.
OVW was ok, but Jim cornet was there and I seriously don't like that guy. I got to heckle Bradshaw. He actualy looked for me when I said "Texas sucks". That was pretty fun.   See 19 other replies

I take it back. I not down as Matt as as when I first made this discussion. I was at a house show last night (7/17) he had a 4 way match with Kofi, Ziggler, and McIntyre, and it was just sad watch him try to run down to the ring, and watching him trying to keep up with these faster wrestlers. He was so broken down he looked like an old man wrestling, it was pathetic. He couldn't even bend his knees, he had a hard time even climbing to the second turnbuckle, and the other three wrestlers had to slow down just so Hardy wouldn't miss his spots.When you look like that it's time to hang up the boots and take a long vacation and take care of your health. Matt is still got some years ahead him and he should be in better shape. He really needs to think about his health if he wants a longer career. I no longer dislike Matt now I just feel sorry for him. I agree, the v1.0 was they last good run Matt Hardy had. I did enjoy the MVP/Matt Hardy but that angle was derailed do to Hardy's injuries so in didn't reach it's full potential. Of the brothers I just like Jeff better. While he's pretty weak on the mic, his matches at least entertained me, but his current run in TNA, I don't know, he's gained alot weight too, and with his legal troubles I could understand why his mind is somewhere else. Hopefully, he can get the stuff sorted out and can focus on wrestling again.   See 19 other replies

Yeah, he was offered a developmental contract, much like Lance Hoyt (Vance Archer) and Low-KI (Kaval) got. If he was brought straight to TV like Christian and R-Truth was I sure he would have took it. Which a TV contract is substantially more than what a developmental contract is. If you were AJ what would you do, work in developmental and not be on national TV, be on the bottom rung of the ladder, work for pennies, or be one of the top paid guys, and be on TV every week? That and loyalty to Double J is the reasons he stayed in TNA. By the way WWE offered the same developmental deal to Abyss and Samoa Joe too and the also both turned it down for the same reason AJ did. So it wouldn't surprise me that a contracted worker for TNA would make more than a developmental worker (FCW) in WWE. And WWE rarely lets a worker into WWE without spending time in FCW first. I wish I lived somewhere close to a WWE developmental league, I would have gone to those shows too. From what I hear of all the developmental leagues WWE had OVW was the best so your lucky you got see those shows, too bad WWE doesn't work with them anymore.   See 19 other replies

I don't watch as much as I used to, but I used to be pretty into it. Taping every episode, going to OVW shows. One of my best friends was a wrestler and knows like half the guys personaly. That's why I have a hard time enjoying Randy Orton.
On topic I read that AJ styles was Offerd a job at WWE and turned them down cause TNA was paying him more. That was like 7 years ago.   See 19 other replies
