I don't know how many people will read this review, but here is my 2 cents worth. During 2007 I had a night shift job and I went through a painfull divorce. Working the night shift, I slept all day. I had lost contact with my friends a long time ago. All of "our" friends were really her friends. I was so lonely. "Sideways" and "Lost in Translation" both became like old friends to me. Even the background music relaxed me.
I watched this movie almost every night. I can't express how much I identified with Miles and Jack both. Miles was who I am now and Jack was who I was when I was younger. This movie is great because it is about real people. With real problems and real emotions. It is truly a work of art.
this movie was incredible
and i agree with the guy below me i laughed for about 5 minutes straight when he stole the wallet and the guy ran out naked and hit the car
but an all around just absolutely fantastic movie
anyone who doens't like this movie shouldn't even review it
what's the point?
i put this movie off forever and in an ignorance deeply underestimated ..but after watching it today all i can say is that it is quite brilliant and beautiful and would recommend it to most anyone. ... and the scene with the naked guy slamming into the car could be the funniest 3 seconds ive ever experienced.
