Directed by Shoji Kawamori (Visions of Escaflowne & Macross), Spring and Chaos is the animated biography of Kenji Miyazawa, one of Japan's most read and beloved modern poets.
For anyone who appreciates the beauty and depth of a good anime, this thought-provoking movie is a hidden jewel. It gives life to poetry, suffering, fulfillment, and the unbreakable bonds between all living things. I wasn't sure what to expect going into this anime, but after watching it I feel like its simplicity is what makes it so substantial. It has both light and dark elements. I would watch this over and over and probably still be moved in the same way I was for the last hour.
