I pose the same question to Dog and Pony: Why not do good and not be boring? GOOD magazine sounds interesting, and the founder Ben Goldhirsh even explains that this is because he sees it as a brand label, not just a magazine. So how come the show doesn't take his advice and throw in a little spice? We see one cover of one magazine for 4 seconds. As good looking as these guys might be, the interest factors wears off in about...4 seconds.
