Dina suffered much and found peace in death until she discovered love. Which in my opinion was sad. As life was already hard enough. In the end we are all alone anyway.
Not your typical Hollywood flick, But definitely a good movie.

It's just a movie, meant to entertain and it did. Sadly, Jess not for you. What I don't understand is why did you bother to watch the whole thing if it bothered you so much from the get go! Very good movie, not your typical Hollywood fantasy, if that's what you're looking for, there's Disney.

Pretty good movie. Sad...at times but Dina grows up tough and smart. A woman ahead of the times...considering what she is forced to become.
Her father was wrong in many levels....she was only a child and needed her dad. Were it not for her love of music she may never have lived nor found happiness, although twisted at times, still great story.

I think the ending was either one out of two things: 1) the scene right before the ending is what will eventually happen and we had some sort of insight..or 2) the scene right before the very last was just another of her very vivid and foreboding visions, but in reality it won't happen and Dina will live "happily ever after" with her new man and child.....not sure, but make your pick and be content with it.
