I think that this gameshow is the best gameshow ever.I think, also, that this is one of the most morally corrupt gameshows, or shows whatsoever, possible.People watch gameshows so that they can judge people that they don't know. People like to see other people on TV, acting as proud as the people watching it would say they would be if they were on the show, and they like to watch the contestants fail. This is the undisputable truth of gameshow watching. Sure, there are select cases where the audience wants the contestant to win, but for the most part, it's pure morbid curiosity. The thing that makes this show "the best," in my opnion, is that it strips away everything else. There's no physical challenge. There's not even really a good-looking set. The host isn't particularly funny or good looking or the opposites, and the success is 100% dependent on the contestant. There's no luck in this game. The contestant is asked a series of questions which are cherrypicked through to find the most entertaining things to ask. This is where a lot of people get confused. Yes, they have been asked these questions before, but they don't know whether or not the answers they provided were detected as lies or truths, so they have a chance to correct themselves on the spot. This is where the game gets interesting. The contestant knows that they will be ousted, but they always seem to lose because they are so delusional that they actually THINK that they were telling the truth, only to realize that they actually weren't.This is particularly pleasing for the viewer.Yes, I know polygraph tests aren't really that accurate, but as a human being, I can't say I've seen anyone on this show being accused of lying that actually, truly felt that they were wronged. It's always the deadpan expression with an afterthought of innocence. And this is why it's the best gameshow. All it's asking you to do is air out your dirty laundry for money, which is what it's presented as being, and people can't seem to do even that. It's always funny to see how highly people falsely think of themselves.
