This show never ceases to amaze me... frantic, bewildering, scattershot, with intermittent moments of startling, poignant clarity. I've backspaced a whole bunch of other stuff that I wanted to say, but still felt was underselling it. I'm really grateful that Funimation stuck its neck out with this one, even before it was broadcast, and though I know that anime like this rarely make it past the elevator pitch, I hope they can continue to take a more active role in bringing such fantastically delirious works stateside for a generation who grew up on anime and (perhaps) reluctantly let it go. Because we finally, at last, have some modicum of buying power : )Also, to any one reading, do make it a priority to check out Masaaki Yuasa's equally off-kilter, equally enjoyable other works. Anything he's involved with is otherworldly.
