Rating_full Rating_full Rating_full Rating_empty Rating_empty Its just okay.
The first time through I thought it was cute, but after that it gets a little tiring. Cute plot, but a little confusing with all the characters and everything.

Rating_full Rating_empty Rating_empty Rating_empty Rating_empty how'd she get that helicopter to do that?
wow. doris day is the worst spy ever in this! hilarious! at least she's still the best dressed spy. there's should be a star rating for simultaneously loving and hating a movie.

Rating_full Rating_full Rating_full Rating_full Rating_empty It was all a charade!
At first I though this movie was a bit campy, a sort of a spoof. However, with all of the clever twists and turns it soon became quite a charade. It reminded me of Charade with Audrey Hepburn. This version was not as good, but still has some funny , and endearing moments hidden moments to make this movie enjoyable.

Rating_full Rating_full Rating_empty Rating_empty Rating_empty Day's Least Favorite Film
This was Doris Day's penultimate film (the last being "With Six You Get Eggroll"), and it's easy to see why - after being forced to star in stinkers like this, I'd beat a path out of Hollywood as well. Later this same year, a film in which Day had been approached to star - "The Graduate," as Mrs. Robinson - premiered. Maybe Day wouldn't have retreated into TV in '68 if she'd chosen differently.

As it stands, "Caprice" is an only occasionally entertaining piece of late-60s fluff. The plot deliberately twists and turns enough times to make you sicker than a ride in a "Glass-Bottom Boat" - but at least we don't have to listen to "Que Sera Sera" in this one. It's said this was Day's least favorite of her own films, so it's hard to hold it against her - but easy to pass up, especially with the numerous abrupt commercial insertions.

Rating_full Rating_full Rating_full Rating_full Rating_empty Austin Powers Favorite Movie
Groooveee Baby. It is fun to see some of these older movies. Hair styles, fashion of clothes, cars, etc. Film kept a pretty good pace. Was not boring like so many other movies in the 60's. Is a movie the entire family can watch together and enjoy. Think Polka Dots will ever come back?
