It is none of anyone's business, I'm sure, but yes I also thought by the finale that Michael was gay but not out of the closet. Actually, this might be relevant in that it could have played a significant role in his having gained so much weight. Maybe, since he has perhaps not come to terms with this important aspect of who he is and perhaps is afraid to tell his fairly traditional Italian-from-Italy family, feels bad about himself and unworthy of being a healthy person. We already know that he and his mother and sister have other stress in their lives but he was the heaviest and maybe it is because he is self-punishing for having desires he thinks are wrong. If so, I hope that he overcomes this feeling that there is something wrong with himself and, by doing so, becomes a kinder person to others as well. People who are hiding who they are and who are ashamed of themselves, often are not the nicest most understanding person to others either....though this is not always the case.   See 9 other replies

They always do. They hit such low weights for finale, that almost none of these people can maintain. Since I last checked, this show is running a higher maintenance rate over five years than most people can do on their own, but over time if this stays true, that will remain to be seen. It's not getting someone down to these weights (although that's hard) it's keeping them there. And in these cases when external motivation is gone, if you don't have an internal motivation(s) then the weight will come back on as it does in like 9 out of 10 cases.   See 2 other replies

LOL of course a POUND of muscle and a POUND of fat weight the same.. Muscle is more dense than fat. So you may get smaller and weight more if you are putting on muscle. It therefore seems like muscle weighs more because the same SIZE piece of muscle weighs more than the same SIZE piece of fat.   See 13 other replies

I can"t believe People still believe that muscle weighs more than fat! It doesn't a pound of fat weighs the same as a pound of muscle. The only difference is muscle takes less space than fat come ppl!!!! Daris over ate and didn't train properly( eating wise) Of course he gained weight.   See 13 other replies
