Notwithstanding PTSD and many of todays more enduring complexities, when it comes to the more common stress and pressures that build up inside - a good old fashion breakdown is still a good remedy. I've worked in very high stress environments. I've sat next to people who just "lost it" and breakdown crying (then laught, then cry). All were inteligent and repspectable people. It is natuers mechanism. There is no shame that that one should be branded with. Yes, it is emarassing and at worse humiliating. Then it's overand you move on. Except for the rare one that never heals or recovers, a better person is the end result. A better person that is still inteligent and repspectable.
The above applies to stress and pressures, not depression or PTSD. Depression, PTSD and the like are episodes that Dragnet never got around to.
