While it might fall under the umbrella of irony, sarcasm is NOT irony. While irony is used, the humor that is achieved through its use is sarcasm. Irony and sarcasm have become so intertwined, that most people not only don't know the difference but actually think that they do. You wanna know what irony actually is? Irony is you being a little biotch at me for saying what I said, while the person the comment was directed to clearly exhibited the exact same attitude, yet you some how decided to jump on me about it. I don't need to double check myself. I said what I said, and I was justified in saying it. He came on here to make fun of people, so why can't I make fun of him, using his own comment against him? Stop being a compete and utter moron and stop trying to imply that some how my comment means I like human decency and basic simple civilization. Actually, try looking up Sarcasm, Irony, and Facetious. Sarcasm falls under the umbrella of Irony. In most its an understandable mistake, but when you act like such a rampant idiot towards others, you usually leave no room for yourself to look like anything other than a complete and utter moron.You probably are not, but this is why you might want to 1. make sure you double check yourself and 2. Try using a small amount of politeness, human decency, and basic simple civilization when you post. (if nothing else, at least until you are sure you are absolutely right.)   See 9 other replies
