Despite the unlikeable characters, annoying laughtrack, and lack of backstory, I was starting to like this show. This episode turned me off of it completely. As a resident of a small town in the midwest, I found the stereotyping of the family from Iowa offensive.

The pilot and second episode were a little slow, but I really like where the show is going.

The biggest problems I have with the show is that Parker Posey's character is hard to like, and that many of the main characters are a little flat. In scenes where there's an opportunity to go a little deeper with the characters, its almost as if the writing staff chooses to do the opposite thing, and make a joke instead of developing the character or letting us in on a little backstory.
