This seems to be a series better watched on Hulu or as a DVD series than as a TV series. Television series where missing one episode, or coming in in the middle of a season is like starting a novel in the middle, makes watching the series pointless. I don't watch series that require this, but I truly enjoyed the first season of this series as the video novel Hulu allows. I was unsure I'd like the second season with the immense shift in cast, but am engrossed enough to give it a shot. Hulu and DVD series allow us to revisit old shows in a new way. The first season of this show was genius, but I probably would not have watched it on TV even if I'd known about it while it due to its novel-like nature. I have not watched one episode of Heros or 24 simply because I did not get in on if from the beginning (though now I could rent them all and catch up.) It's too bad this series had to be canceled, but I can't blame the network that canceled it. I do, however, like the first season of this series to own it, like I would purchase a great novel to have for future re-reading.
