I love how really unacurate this show portrays S.F.F.D all together.
The dispatch alone? Dispatch is based off computers, but when computers crash or fail, which they often do, they go back to the old, take the call, write the address, find the closest ambulance and dispatch it out. Computers maybe shave one to two minutes of total time, but has features like tracking ambulances and so forth with GPS that make them usefull.
I also love how they have medivac choppers responding to every call...I like to watch this show just to laugh at everything thats wrong. :D
I know its just a show, but a show like this might make somebody think twice about calling 911 in real life, and thats not good.

It's called acting. If they would have done the compressions correctly, they would have injured the actor/actress. The chest compressions done correctly are so deep that it is common to break ribs while doing them. They make everything as realistic as possible w/o causing injury to they're cast, That is their job and I think they have done a wonderful job of it. Kudos out to the producers, director, and especially the actors. I LOVE this show. and wish that it was continued. My girlfriend is a RN and she thinks this is so much better than the shows that came before it.
