This might be a chick flick, but, as a guy, I love every minute of it.

Admittedly, I had a love for Korea from my first bite of mak kimchi.

These girls are sooo cute. I want to take Sam Soon home with me. And there is nothing "fat" about her. She does have a little bit of "cuddly," and that's nice.

Same here. I'm a reasonably macho guy who never watches soaps, or even much TV. Sam-Soon got me started with K-dramas and I was pleasantly surprised. They're usually very funny and entertaining (with the obligatory sappy moments), and the execution is pretty slick too. A good way to learn some Korean for me, also.
I liked My Lovely Sam-Soon, but have discovered some better shows on Hulu. See 4 other replies

Totally Agree! My first Kdrama was Winter Sonata & it is number #1 on my list of Kdrama's. Stars Falling from the Sky is hilarious and I didn't think any other would top how are it made me laugh...but the some of the scene in My Lovely Sam Soon is a riot! I have never laugh so hard in a long time...Sam Soon's mother at the restaurant was so funny and the sisters fight was well acted so hilarious, the fight scene at the party on Jehu Island amusing and funny. I think it was Bib bim bop - basically rice with leftover vegetable side dishes, bul go gi (marinated & bbq'd meat) with hot sauce to bring all the flavors together. So good! See 2 other replies
