Uh, maybe a big, powerful gun is a little more difficult to smuggle in, set up, and aim than something that you can carry is a briefcase? I dunno, I'm not a gun expert. Doesn't sound like you are either. See 3 other replies

Yeah think about it for a minute. If you really want to make sure you kill your target with one shot, why not use an incredibly accurate rifle that oh by the way can shoot through an engine block?

I think this is in the "license to kill" tradition. British spy/military fiction always seems to show operatives doing stuff like extra-legal executions. Audiences assume the good guys go in with standing orders to not leave any bad guys alive. See 13 other replies
