This is an awesome video I think. :) You all did a good job on it. Admittedly you were a bit too close to it at first but then, thanks to Joel's expert driving, you managed to get into a better viewing spot to film the horrific power and destruction of this very violent twister. Because of your close proximity it shows just how much faster the speed of the winds can be at the base than at the mid rotation and above. Woulda been neat if you could have had one of those radar guns like the police use to clock the speeds of the winds on it at it's base.I would not doubt that the speed was in excess of 250 mph. Maybe even 300 mph winds Do you know how fast the whole system was moving? Were there any people that got injured while taking a direct hit from this monster? I would have liked to see the aftermath a bit as I am sure it was pretty bad where it hit. Hope people came out okay that was in it's path. One thing for sure we need better structures in the building of houses etc, and also storm sheltering within our homes to get into that could even withstand EF5 destruction. I think people are finally starting to be more alert to weather conditions, watches, and warnings now. If you think it won't happen to you, think again. Murphy's law. Focusing on that then it is always good to be prepared. Just in case. If you are prepared before anything occurs then it is a better way to survive and come out okay. Reed you are an intense fellow lol! I miss Joel sometimes on your chases as he was the sane one!! :P Ya gotta admit Reed that sometimes in your haste to move forward and try to get in close you would be too close and he saved your hyde!!
