Big fan of the movie 30 Days of Night. This super short prequel? to the movie doesn't do it justice. The vampires here are sloppy, killing almost as many people as they are turning them. Which in the movie, the vampires were adamant about not turning people because they had to preserve a level of dignity between themselves. And some people "knew" about them and were following their activities on the internet... I don't think so. So if I follow what the show is saying, then basically all other vampires are logging into their email and checking to see what the next move is or something? And if they are in L.A. and New Orleans, then why did they come over on a big nordic ship in the beginning of the movie? Doesn't work out in my head. Oh yeah, they just always managed to grab the dude right next to our main character and not our main character in some 'silence the truth from getting out' kind of assassination scheme. But they never got him. Which implies that these very wise, dangerous, and generally crafty creatures are mostly ignorant. This is a mockery, at best, of the movie.
