Overall, this was a gloomy, depressing movie. While I didn't want to see Elaine (Marcia Gay Harden) die, her self-absorption was nauseating.
She doesn't go see her alleged "best friend" after she's practically ruined her life, then she makes it a point to become the lover of her best friend's lover. Disgusting.
It was all about her, her alleged "grief", getting what she wanted to make herself feel better, Christina be damned. Angela did a beautiful job of being supportive of Christina and helping her to recover. (as a retired nurse, I couldn't but wonder where on earth the bed rails were on the hospital beds - patient safety? - law suit waiting to happen)
Collin, well he's a pig.
Oh, and of course, there is always the nudity and sex is always present these days in movies. It detracts so from most movies. Honestly, I have yet to see a sex scene that added anything of any value to a movie.
