In this type of society all of the major population centers would be in rural towns surrounded by farmland. Far less homes available if you want access to food. See 5 other replies

You're kidding, right? The same number of commercials, but you can skip ahead after the first one and not miss anything but the second ad. And this is a bad idea?

Or is she now converted? Shes a good guy now?
Or is she going to look elsewhere to be the queen.

I do hate hate hate now murderers are let go to murder again so the hero can think hes better than somebody else who murders for pleasure or pure self interest.

As to the traitor at the mountain, that debate is unnecessarily dramatic.
Yes, you can hold somebody accountable for unforseen consequences because the law is in place because those consequences are forseeable.

Letting the guy go because he didnt have the brains to understand the reason for the law is like saying you can get away with breaking a law by pleading ignorance.

As we know, thats not possible.
The penalty doesnt have to be harsh since it wasnt treason. It was a simple abuse violation. Jail time or reduced rations, some noticable punishment, so simple.

Not that I expect a show to have anything good because it creates the characters then its easy to make some lines to fit them perfectly.
But here its just off.
They are by the campfire, and she keeps talking like shes protecting others, yet she steals from her people, treats them like trash, and only cares about them as long as she stays on the top of the mountain.

I am fine with the psycology of why she has her ways, but to start acting like she cares about the citizen on the street, a benevolent dictator, makes me sick.
Its not consistant with her past actions at all.
And him looking down on them to judge? Hes only been at the mountain a short time, didnt have life easy at all.
Even then he doesnt stay inside the walls.

Though she at least got one thing right, morality is relative.
