I enjoy watching this show, but I still don't understand whats so unique about the character Bones. She doesn't really bring anything wpecial to the team. I have only seen at least five episodes and their doesn't seem to be anything really unique about her compared to the other characters. Whats even stranger is that all the other secondary characters around her like Booth seem to stand out more compared to the protagonist which is something that I feel writers should never do. Booth seems to handle the arrests and all of Bones's associates seem to analize and solve the puzzles and then give Bones the information so Bones then tell Booth. I'm not saying that Bones is an uninteresting character, I love her stiff personality and logical point of views almost like a female spock, but I feel all stories need strong protagonists and this character does not seem to appear that strong in this show. Mabie I need to watch a whole season to understand this character, and I do see she is an intellect like Skully is with Mulder but unlike Skully that provides logic and explanation to X Files, Bones already has assistants who present that logic, so I ask myself and anyone who reads this, what makes Bones such a unique character to solving murders compared to all the other secondary characters? What makes her so special? What does she bring to the show that helps bring solutions to particular puzzles in evrey episode? She is a good character but not a strong protagonist.
