Very entertaining, but kept thinking how much Cloris Leachman reminded me of Robin Williams.

I do like musicals but didn't care for the songs in this film. One thing I felt for sure was that the songs were far too long. I wish we had fast-forwarding capability here but, since we don't, I just skipped ahead when I had had enough. See 1 other reply

Three songs so far in half an hour. I'm not sure if this would qualify as a musical, but be warned if you don't like this kind of thing. I sure don't.

But I don't understand, the witch constantly talks about eating the children, but then she just actually turns them into giant gingerbread men for her "fence?" It doesn't quite make sense.

What a great movie! A pleasure the whole family is sure to enjoy! Cloris Leachman gives a stellar performance in this one. Is David Warner the father in this movie? I believe that's his name. I certainly wish I could see more movies with him in them; seems he's always in the family friendly ones. Remember "A Christmas Carol" with George C. Scott? David Warner played Bob Cratchit in that one.
