Mediocre Start

The series's first episode is a bit boring, introducing us to a large cast of characters without giving us a chance to truly get to know and care about them. You probably won't remember any of their names after it's done.

Also, anyone who is not a stock market expert will likely be confused, as the show highlights many of the different complex facets of working on Wall Street in quick succession. It does give a brief, slightly helpful explanation of each concept as it goes along, however.

Basically: If you're interested in the stock market like I am, you might like or even love this series. If you're not, then you'll probably hate it.

Extra note: I thought that the way the names of the stocks mentioned on the show were bleeped out was hilarious. It makes it sound as if they're cursing. Check out 6:11-6:16 to see what I mean.

This episode got me hooked....

This is not a show that will appeal to a wide audience but this episode got me hooked on the whole series. Heck, it got everyone in my office hooked on the whole series. Oh yeah, I work in financial services.
