I still watch the original A-Team on a regular basis, because one of the local channels has reruns of it. I think that the new A-team, who all except the dude who plays Hannibal I've never even seen before, will never be able to replace the old. The old A-team was just too talented, especially the dude that played Murdock (my fav character). The dude that plays Hannibal is a talented actor, who I've seen act in a few movies, like Batman Begins and Star wars Episode 1. I'm pretty sure he'll do a good job. I just don't know about the rest of the team.
Still, I think it all comes down to how they handle the movie. They could totally mess it up, or they could actually do a good job.
I think it really depends on what they are going to do with it. Are they going to do a remake that will do basically what the TV show did, or will they make it more like tribute and take it in it's own direction.
One thing I want to know is if they actually kill anybody in the movie. The funniest part of the TV show for me is how much ammo they wasted not killing anyone. Also, the requisite car flip. The original A-team show was commended for it's lack of killing. It was the most family friendly show that had guns going off in every episode. I almost hope they won't go for family friendly in the movie, because it was ridiculous how a crack commando team would never kill anyone, even the ones who really deserved it.
In short, the movie could be good, but it also could be bad. We shall see. That is if you bother to watch it.
