this is the second time this woman has played in an alfred hitchcock episode where she knowingly allows someone to drink poison. she really is a black widow.

the father and son had such a beautiful relationship and she came between them just so she could get her hands on the old man's loot. true, the son should not have allowed his bitterness to get the best of him, but he was hurt because he thought his father didn't love him anymore.

and his father, the old fool, chasing after a piece of blonde tail like it was the holy grail. he should have known better. a good hitchcock episode.

I didn't have any clue of what the ending would be until he walked to her closet. This lacked the suspense and build up of his other episodes but ending still good.

I had an inkling of how the end would come about, but I had to watch to be sure.

Hatred serves no useful purpose, and hurts most the one who bears it.

The plot didn't seem fully fleshed out, and much of the show time was used up in just setting the scene with flashbacks. Georgann Johnson's stepmother character was better played than either the father or son, but Hitchcock is always worth watching.
