shelly long did a poor job acting in this move, she wasn'r believable.....i like her but bad job she wasn't commited to the character.

its hard to recall something bad as it is then to go through court rehashing wow some angel by her side. what goes around comes around karma. i like the movie hell of a message.

It is horrible to know that this story is a true one. The movie itself and the acting were pretty poorly done, but the just of the story was told...and the father convicted....I wonder if the sisters, brother, and mother ever felt like they had a family, or healed. In any case, I think it is important for true stories like these to be told.

I feel so sorry for Shelley Long's character in this movie! Her whole family are idiots! Just ignore what happened, bury your head in the sand and maybe it will all go away! Her mother is the worst one of all. Imagine knowing that your child is being sexually abused by your own husband and not doing anything to stop it! What kind of mother would allow something like that to happen? If someone had ever touched my daughter like that I would have killed that person! Her brother and sister are dimwits, too. Sticking up for that sickening pedophile every chance they get! Very sad.

I think this movie did a good job showing how important it is for people involved in a case to not have access to the outside world. We do however need to keep them entertained so they don't go crazy. I just wonder one thing......I wonder why she kept her last name and hyphenated it. I would think she would want to get rid of that name faster than a finger on a hot stove. But unless we have been through it, we will never know why people do the things they need to do to cope.

Good movie, not that great acting. It was still worth watching as sadly I can relate to the topic.
