At the time this was broadcast, the next generation just began it's run on TV. You'll notice the subtle similarities in the costumes, Especially those on board the space station. I did like the characters in this one and the gimmick of the scientist gone bad. It makes me wonder why a show like this never got noticed. The first chance I get I am going to get the complete DVD set. The whole plot with the technology gone wild was a staple of next generation and many sci fi shows of the time. It's one of the first shows (that was any good) that used primative computer graphics that worked.
