The long desolate trips might be lonely, but at least the passenger cars weren't constantly playing with them like they do on Interstate here. And they only drive for two weeks and get a week off? in the USA, typical is 28 to 30 days driving 16 hours daily, and two days off most months. And if the load isn't unloaded for four hours, that counts as your sleep time and your expected to drive all night after only four more hours sleep that evening.. The Trucking school says you make $40,000 per year, but they don't say it is for 112 hours of driving weekly, (16 hrs. daily at seven days each week.) that is really only $7.00 hourly before taxes.
