If the movie starts to bore you (and it most likely will!), the lesbian scene begins at the 1:38 mark. Though only a couple minutes long, seeing Naomi Watts even partially nude, let alone doing a love scene with another beautiful woman, makes that 2-3 minutes very much worth watching!
the funniest part of this movie is that we sat through 2 and 1/2 hours, hoping for a plot, or at least anything that made sense. we really had to laugh because there is not
I've never seen such a good movie ruined by a having a terrible director. The actors where better than fair and the plot was even better but the amateur directing (Cinematic's) just ruined the movie for me. I'm going to say it's a "MUST SEE" but only if you don't have any thing else to watch. It's one of the movies that the New York Times would call "Mud Good"... I know, I don't get it either but I think I do NOW
If you want to be confused when you first view this movie, stop reading this review. There are lots of visual, thematic, and symbolic threads that tie this movie together. I don't want to reveal all of them since the point of this review is not entirely to be a spoiler, but I am going to give away the one point you kinda need to watch this movie and not be utterly confused. Approach this movie like you might approach a well written novel that is driven by themes and symbolism, not plot or dialog. Understand that the first 2/3 of the movie was a dream where real life events and even character identities are remade from the dream world point of view of one person. I'd give it 5 stars if Mr Lynch didn't make it too difficult to figure out that most of the movie is a dream. Lynch almost seemed to be trying to confuse his audience--to make them after the fact slap themselves upside the head and rethink the entirety of what they just saw. Problem is, you really cannot absorb much of any of the work Lynch put in to make such a complex and interwoven story while being left in the dark about the bulk of the movie being a dream. Maybe Lynch was hoping people would have to go back and see it again in the theaters to understand what they just watched. You know, get two tickets sold for every one that goes see the movie. Sewing confusion is not a sign of high art or that your ideas are too profound to reach the intellectually unsophisticated--it's a sign of pretension.
it was a good movie as far as acting .got lost at the end.the girl scene was pretty nice,for a girl or a guy veiwer..suspence was good if i had something to do today instead i would've.. glad i saw it though.
