Great memories

I rememer this episode quite well. As a teenager myself I Ioved watching this series. Much better than the new series today. As for Starbuck flying the Cyon ship remember it takes 2 pilots to fly it. In case you forgot (lluthradanar). That's why he didn't use it to escape the planet.

Some things are better as memories...

For most of my life I've remembered this episode as my favorite Galactica. Somehow I always thought it was part of the original series, not 1980. I always thought a fair amount of the film ENEMY MINE borrowed from the concept of Starbuck befriending a Cylon. I always thought that idea was awesome. I totally forgot about the woman and child and only remembered Cy sacrificing himself to save Starbuck. 28 years later I kinda wish I'd just kept the great memory from my childhood.

Ship?

What about the other Cylon ship? Starbuck has flown one before so that would be nothing new for him. The story ignored that.

Best of the series.

Starbuck returns for one final episode.His relationship with Cy is humorous. Bit sad that he was used in the end ...could have been stranded, but a Cylon ship awaited him. So now whatever became of him? Who knows. Great episode.

Some of the funniest lines ever.

In this version, from 25 minutes in until about 35 minutes, some of the funniest lines and banter ever!! A cylon, actualy jealous of the affections of Starbuck? Yes, the 1980 series was... bad... but this makes up for it. A little.

could have been so much more

i was very glad that they atleast managed to get dirk benidict to guest star. the final fate of starbuck was wasted. I don't think he was marooned he was just sitting there all sad that cy and the chick were gone. he has a cyclon ship to escape with. i thought what was gonna happen was that he would have been beamed up to that cyrstal ship that helped out the galactica during the original series. maybe they thought this series wasn't going to end at 13 eps. in either case they droped the ball.

Galactica 1980 - Starbuck Returns

The entire Galactica 1980 series is a disaster. This episode shows what happened to Starbuck. However, the ending makes ZERO sense. If you take the time to watch it, ask yourself why Starbuck is still marooned. Dumb. I watched this out of pure boredom and came away disappointed.
