Enjoy it with someone twisted and a big bowl of popcorn... or some fava beans and a nice Chianti.

Would have enjoyed this much more if the description hadn't contained a spoiler. It would have gradually dawned on me what Mom and Dad were up to. Why do people do that?

i love that 50s movie set. so stylish, so perfect, with the dark underbellly. i never liked meat anyway :)
i wish the caption didn't reveal the cannalism right away. it would have made it more psychological.

It pretty much sucks monkey balls that I wasn't able to enjoy this movie due to the fact that this had no close captioning feature like some of my subscribed TV shows has.

I need those due to my deafness... ah well.

too bad, because I freakin' love dark comedies like this one.

What an oddly messed up insane family - the whole family apparently. Makes me want to become a vegi lover and lay off the red meat. Move over Cleaver family.......

The way the kid acted was so creepy and in the move I thought the dad would kill the boy's friend when they were in the freezer, the kid acted well in the movie, some parts to me were really disturbing especially when the poor boy walked down stairs seeing his parents having sex. Nothing creeps me more than cannibalism.

That's right. If you like Kate Hudson or Matthew McConaughey, then, please, go watch something else. This is an intellectual piece which relies heavily on satire, mood, atmosphere and metaphor. Also, if you look back on your childhood fondly and have no serious psychological or emotional problems, you won't get this movie. It's not about cannibalism, it's about the monstrosity of parents, of Adultworld, of everything a child finds out about late at night when he stumbles down the hall for a glass of water; the underside of 1950s America; the insipid nature of the sitcom. It's about all of this, and more. And, despite what the previous reviewers had to say, it IS terribly funny. And TERRIBLY funny.
