http://www.orlandosentinel.com/media/alternatethumbnails/storylink/2010-03/52540616-03090600-400225.jpgI mean if they were going to do The Looking Glass Wars which in my opinion is a wonderful piece of literature, you could at least have done it how it was supposed to be.I personally will not even give this movie a chance, despite the fact that I am not only a huge Burton/Depp fan but also quite versed in wonderland literature.The milinary could not POSSIBLY be depicted properly based on the ridiculous way in which poor Mr. Depp has been dressed up and obviously marionetted about by the CORPORATE IDIOTS who think they should take the MOST HARDCORE of the characters and turn him into a ridiculous looking fruitcake.Considering Johnny Depp's talent, I'm surprised they didn't just LET HIM DO IT RIGHT!He could totally do bladed hat-wielding assassin with style, but they had to go and DISNEY it into a colorful nightmare didn't they!?!Did they even get the time-displacement joke? Clean-cup-move-down? It's nice to see their disclaimers in this trailer though. They let us know that it's not going to be anything like the books, and more of a visual thing than a story thing. Then, they also say that only Tim could have imagined such a world. Hmmmm . . . Alice . . . Mad Hatter . . . Queen of Hearts . . . sounds familiar to me somehow. Could it be that it is based on the world in a book that curiously has the same name? Or, no, my bad . . . it was based on the world in a Disney cartoon curiously by the same name.Before I watched this trailer, I was wanting to see the movie. Now, I might rent it, if I've seen everything else at the video store. Or, maybe I'll just wait till it comes out on Hulu.

Lately its been driving me crazy that EVERYTHING I want to see is in stupid 3D. Ugh.
