anyone else notice all the gundam references in this show? especially this episode.

In Japan, I'm pretty sure that this is a kid's show, but all of the references (obviously changed by western screenwriters) refer to movies that few children would be familiar with. Has the audience shifted when it was westernized? Also, there's some suggestive themes, such as cursing (the f-bomb was bleeped out in this episode) and a there was a suggestion of nudity in one of the previous episodes, which obviously couldn't have been changed when this show came overseas. I dunno, it seems a little strange.
But this is a great show, nonetheless. Great voice acting, and the writers did a really super job making this Japanese show amusing to westerners, most of which wouldn't get the pop culture references that were obviously changed. I have laughed out loud at least once an episode, which says more than most shows in the U.S. I hope they dub the other seasons soon!

I know they probably changed a lot of the references in this to western stuff, but I didn't care. The story is just pure hilarious without being gross or insulting. Pure comedic timing, cute characters and a good strong set of voice talent.
