Stunning artistic direction, Engrossing plot, Near-perfect music... overall this is one of the few movies that can relate to almost any age, race, or any other demographic. The nature of pain, addiction, love, desire, and strife are portrayed in almost every scene.
After about 5-6 plays the music can get to be a littttttle bit overdone at times.
.....I forgot how dark and disturbing this movie was. I honestly feel that this movie gave a true to life representation of the raise and fall a person can be subjected to due to addiction.
All around this movie is great. im not ashamed to say i cried at certain point. very sad and deeply disturbing movie but with a stunning style in direction, great performances by everyone, and such deep and haunting music were can you go wrong. Darron aronofsky brings this legendary novel to life and i'm certain it will be viewed and held with honor by all movie lovers forever.
This movie is blunt force reality to your mind! Not many movies I have seen that have moved me like this. A peak into a slice of our society that I fear is more common than we would like to think. Fantastic performances! I can't believe I missed this when it came out. The music is superb and haunting. Watch it!
This is one of the best movies I've ever seen..there's really only 1 word 2 describe it...WOW..every1 gave awesome performances and it was really good to see Marley Wayans playin a different role.
