ha! watch out couch potato, don't go outside... you might get hurt. Where's you're sense of adventure? Exploring the unknown? Climbing isn't a cheap thrill, it's about self discovery. Climbing is learning how to control fear, functioning well in uncontrolled situations, measuring oneself against the world we live in. When I'm old, I'll be telling my grand kids about the time I survived an avalanche on rainier by swimming out of it, before being buried alive. Or the the time we rescued a fallen climber and had him helicoptered off the mountain at 3am after keeping him in stable condition for 12 hours, etc, etc, etc. And you're going to talk about the time you rode in a helicopter... Honestly, I'd rather die than live in mediocrity. A zombie in t.v land, 2.5 kids with a two car garage. Trying to save enough money so you can be happy someday. Whining about how your your 401k shrunk in 2008. No thanks.
