This is a critically acclaimed show. You should give it another chance. How many great comedy programs hit their stride in the pilot episode? This isn't for everybody, especially not somebody who might be offended by a comedy about Catholic priests (although, as a practicing Catholic, I've rarely been remotely offended by a joke on Father Ted). And if you're bothered by Irish stereotypes, then know that this was an Irish show; it's generally considered acceptable to satirize one's own culture.
not very nice to do that to them. too much physical comedy. too much repetition of the same gesture, for my taste (bottle at the tv -- yawn). also I am repelled by the laugh tracks. one of these is enough for me to watch to know I won't be back to it. The only thing I really like is hearing the Irish accents.
