They sacrifice nothing it is their choice ..personal decision to leave u at home to take care of kids so they can have power trips ..he could also work in an office bring home same money and you wont lose a husband ..BRAINWASHED U ALL ARE ..SO SO SAD

10 to 1 that if, instead of it being local police breaching into a home here in the US, this had been a video of US Army soldiers or US Marines breaching into a home in Iraq Joe would've had only positive comments to issue. Joe would've said it's for their safety and so what if there's collateral damage I want those soldiers/Marines to come home. But of course when it's local public servants then it's OK to [expletive] all over them and their service. The most amusing part- of course- is that law enforcement serves as the largest single career field of ex-military personnel. It's very likely many, many of the men and women you see on S.W.A.T are ex-military. But ya know, when they were in the Army they were heroes and now that they're cops they're just pigs. Public service often is a thankless job and yet if it weren't for the people who are willing to put their lives on the line for us every second of every day- regardless of what venue, regardless if it's at home or abroad- our world would be chaotic. I can't for the life of me understand the person who is thankful for the soldier, but hateful of the police officer. I will grant you that the soldier is taking a bigger risk, but both are working to make our world better. You'd think that would be enough to nod your head to. And what's even more interesting? You, as an individual, have the power to change the laws that the police enforce. If you get mad at a cop for enforcing the laws *you* passed....well that's just a whole other level of hypocrisy. I think @Emily Ordaz summed it up best w/ "...but anything you say, its just going to make you sound more like an idiot."

SWAT is Great

I was just about to defend the SWAT team but I see K.C. has got that covered. SWAT team is disgusting? Your ignorance is disgusting. These kind of comments used to bother me but anything you say, its just going to make you sound more like an idiot. "They are the real criminals" oh yeah, protecting the neighborhoods and trying to make the city safer for your family is exactly what being a crook is all about. Sad, sad, sad.

It's not an abuse of power if you take every precaution necessary to ensure the safety of everyone involved. You have to treat every situation like it is a lethal incident. No matter how good intel. is now a days you just never know what someone has or what someone is capable of. Would you rather five good people get shot to save the home owner a few bucks on a window? The fault falls on the suspect for either A) not coming out of his/her home or B) running from the law. They bring it on themselves and on to their families so rather than blame the people risking their lives and sacrificing time with loved ones that you and I both probably take for granted, maybe blame it on the person who chose to be a criminal. The ones who couldn't man up and just walk out on one of the seven billion chances he was given to. SWAT isn't just called in for your run of the mill cases, not when your local pot head decides to pull shenanigans like eating all the food in their neighbor's refrigerator. SWAT is called in to handle extreme circumstances. When prior attempts by other law enforcement have either failed or have been deemed too dangerous to handle. If they abused their power I highly doubt they would spend hours upon hours trying to negotiate with these people, they'd bust in and have itchy trigger fingers. Were you not paying attention? They're in Dallas. In 70 lbs of gear. In a ready stance. Dealing with two bit scum for hours. There's a lot riding on them. Not just their team but the suspect's wellbeing, as well as neighbors/bystanders. You don't have time or the luxury to mess around and just take people's word for things. Family members often protect other family members regardless of what they've done. That's just how it is. But I guess even if the world were made of sunshine and rainbows, lies were non-existent, and they did everything necessary to please your sense of justice you'd still find something to complain about.
