I knew what the twist was going to be all along. But the ending? cmon really?! What the hell ever happened to safety protocols? Did they vanish in the future?

This is one of the few that was a direct remake of one of the plots of the originals series.Though fairly true to it, the original seemed darker, more eerie, and more thougtful.
It was one of the better episodes of the original (with Martin Sheen and omni-present sci fi character actor, Whit Bissel).Of the 152 "new" episodes, this is not one of the better ones.

Stopped about half way through. The torture etc did not bother me, the plot just moved too slowly for me. Fast forwarded to the end to avoid the boredom and bad acting. Not even the end could make up for a very poor episode.

*** SPOILERS ***The first rule of programming. Don't test with a live Database. These generals gave the prisoners access to the live bomb? One that had a self destruct that would wipe out everything for five miles? How believable is that.And the ray that fused tissue. Did the humans develop it in under five months when the crew was in space? The crew certainly did not think it was human technology.How were the hallucinations induced? The crew was not aware that was human technology either.And so the government puts all this effort into making the perfect replica of an alien prison. But they did not every think the prisoners would get suicidal and/or violent?The plot holes here kinda ruined it for me, especially the bomb at the end. If they had the time and resources to build a alien prison replica, they had the resources to create a replica Device as well.
