I agree with everyone here about the mystical tree.
I thought that Montague would kill Juliet...or at least Mercutio (sp?).

Man, at least someone before me thought of that Escalus being a pretty weird addition to the anime. There could have been other routes to test the love of Romeo and Juliet but they had to choose something pretty mythical like a tree and kissing half woman/half tree bark to bring what could have been a stellar love series into science fiction....what gives?!

To be honest, this series could really have done without that tree goddess/floating island nonsense. It would be better off in a whole other story because Romeo and Juliet is a loaded title as is. It really didn't need the tree at all.
