What a gyp! I thought I was going to learn how to install a nice new wooden porch railing. This video is nothing but an online instruction manual for one particular type of UGLY plastic porch railing system! Of course it's all about the money. And I guess there's just not that much money waiting for someone willing to teach actual woodcraft. Why don't the timber companies sponsor some proper wood craft home improvement shows like this? These ugly plastic railings take untold amounts of man made energy to produce from oil products, then will end up taking space in a landfill in 10 or 20 years. Wood is sustainable and biodegradable and, perhaps even more importantly, helps provide JOBS in the here and now. The methods and products outlined in this video provide none of that.
