Good breakdown. I would add that it was not as smooth as Miami Vice. It had to be a low budget film, and the script was cheesy. Most of the reviews here are pretty rough on the film, but its not that bad. Its on the caliber of so many 1970s cop shows and movies.

This is the definition of all those ''hollywood'' action flicks you've seen. Pretty cheesy at points, but i liked the story and actors.

Perhaps the worse cinematography of any shot-on-film ever made. And who was the Director of Photography? I don't think they used lighting even once - shooting every scene in ambient light, no matter how ridiculous. The big rich bad guy holding court in his 2 cent club on a fold-out kitchen table with metal folding chairs. Terrible acting. Gawd-awful writing. Please someone tell me this movie was made on a bet - to see how many stars can be conned into being in the worse film ever made. We didn't even get a nude shot of Erika Eleniak. Why was this rated R? Because it would bore to death anyone under 17?

This surely seems like it had to made for television. If not, I'd never heard of it. It's scripted and directed like any random scene from Miami Vice in the 80's. Looks like the female lead is G. Anwar, the same girl from Burn Notice - another Miami based current TV show. Not bad at all if you approach it with the mentality that it's like a continuation of Miami Vice. Same themes, same ideas. Superb cameo from Burt Reynolds!
