this is a great ep...i loved it back when i watched it the first time it came out..
and i love it now...30 some yrs later...isnt it wonderful how hulu gives us a
time machine...because it is...it takes us back to the good ole days of great
tv..with a good show...thanks again hulu

The best part of this episode was the family celebrating Penny's Birthday. These kind of family moments that are simple and sentimental won't be seen today with the speed and convenience of luxuries and I-pods, game boy, gadgets, etc. Materialism is the by-product of a fast-changing society

Correction - Zumdish now represents the Demolition Division of the Celestial Department Store.

Consider that this episode, in a way, predicts online stores like Amazon. Anywhere in the galaxy people can order items, shipped (or teleported) directly to them.

POP! Any episode that includes the galactic department store manager, Zumdish, is a great episode.

I'd like to know why they need a winch to load a few sticks of dynamite into a fissure. Why didn't they use the explosives that looked like jacks from earlier (season 1) episodes? Why didn't the dynamite explode when placed in the very hot fissure?

"POP! Because it didn't!" says Zumdish.

Fun, colorful episode is no great shakes but has some good performances and its good to see Dr. Smith reduced to a toy. The usual last minutes heroics but the toymaker's fun and doesnt over act like many of these villians/aliens. Not bad.
