These guys are idiots. As a chaser of 3 years, a relative newbie, I can point out several things these guys are doing wrong, which could easily cost them their lives. Plus, they made no mention of what a real chaser's true goal is. We're not out there risking our lives just to stare at these storms, like these idiots. Our real goal is to track and report these storms to the NWS so that they can have a more complete picture than what their equipment can detect. We do this usually via ham radio, some times by phone. Thanks to REAL and PROPERLY TRAINED spotters and chasers and in conjunction with the NWS and their tools, storm related fatalities are estimated to have been decreased by over %70 since the SkyWarn program began. This is nothing but sensationalistic bull. If you want to see what REAL storm spotting and chasing is like, seek out your local amateur radio club and ask if someone will take you along as a rider for a chase. Just don't be surprised if they say no, and remember that if you do go, your safety is in your own hands; so DON'T BE STUPID LIKE THESE IDIOTS and even more importantly, LISTEN TO YOUR GUIDE!
