As interesting as this video was, it is sorely lacking in facts. Missing in the story is the fact that in one and a half billion years none of the continents will be in the positions that they are currently. Therefore, the notion that Florida won't be able to support agriculture and Paris will be in a desert are wholly irrelevant.
This is only "shock science," and is made to look as if the Moon suddenly moved in an instant. Not in the time initially presented. One and a half billion years.
The Moon moves away from the Earth at rate of about a centimeter per year, and this slow process has been occurring over the last three and a half billion years since the formation of the Moon. And the rotation of the Earth is slowing down, as it has for three and a half billion years.
In less time than a million years I'm sure Humanity as we know it will have long since vanished and the creatures that inhabit the Earth in a billion years will no doubt be quite happy with whatever the Moon is doing at that time.
What would the world be like in the future is fascinating, but it would be better to have the complete story.
