Awesome Movie

When I first saw this movie, I thought it was going to be another one of those cheesy, lame teen movies. Was I wrong! This had so many twists, turns, and surprises. Really well made. Then when I saw it available on Hulu, I was excited! Especially when I found out that it was the rated R version instead of the edited one made for regular T.V. Great move Hulu team. Keep them coming.

Better than I expected.

I have to admit, I didn't have very high hopes for this movie.

Adult film star moves next door to a teenager then hilarity ensues. It's gonna be like American Pie 8, right? Well, it had a story, some interesting characters and not all of the twists were expected. It may not have you laughing until you cry, but there are some funny parts.

Even though Elisha Cuthbert stars as the adult movie actress, don't expect to see much skin from her. There are other girls in the movie, though. So, if that's what you're after it's in there.

Pleasantly Surprised

I'd heard all sorts of things about this movie, I was in 11th grade when it came out and while it was a big deal at the time I shunned it based solely on the premise assuming it would be awful. Seeing the film now, into my first year of college I can say how true to life it is and isn't, while much of what happens is pure fantasy the movie's heart is in the right place and it sends a welcome message about being who you really are. I am thoroughly impressed with this movie and with hulu, I can firmly say that I would never have watched this film if it wasn't on here, I was bored and watched it on a whim, I'm glad that I did. Overall I thought The Girl Next Door was a highly enjoyable film in the same vein as last years big hit Superbad, if you are in high school or just starting college I highly recommend this film, those older might quite not fit the target audience but I would welcome you to try.

THE FUTURE OF DIGITAL VIEWING!

Keep this up and Youtube will become an archaic term! The new term Hulu will be an actual word: "If you're looking for an uncut, good quality movie, just Hulu it!"

Holy Smokes

Now, this is one great movie. It has the energy and bounce that every movie should have. "The Girl Next Door" is true, suspenseful, and poignant. I believed that this film spoke to my kind of crowd in both sophisticated and crude ways. It's like all three of the guys represented our inner-perv, our inner-doubt, and our pursuit of a strange love. Also, the movie had many trippy and suspenseful moments. The false realities that Matthew has throughout the movie have anyone on the edge of his or her seat. And it's all way too comical when we realize that they were implausible afterwards. The farfetchedness really makes me hoot. And finally, at the end, the movie just wraps up with a real heart-felt ending. Everyone succeeds. Even the viewers, us, feel like they succeeded at the end, as well. What a great movie.

VideoCritic REVIEW: I keep falling in love with her over and over again...

Classic!!!! This is one of my favorite movies. Every time I watch this movie, I fall in love with her a little more. I dig those pouty lips!
