The photos and interviews from his hometown were great. However, this piece sought to create a troubled boy of "rage, rebellion..." He was a creative person, he wasn't an outcast. My family and his were from Fairmount, for generations. He was accepted, had friends and dated one of my aunts. He even, (and this doesn't fit the image) had to ride in a car with my other aunt and her boyfriend to go to the skating rink in Marion, because my Grandmother wouldn't let my young aunt ride on his motorcycle. He was very talented, had big dreams and left the farm to make his way. Not unlike many young men of his time. He was just much more gifted than most...
