Is it just me, or does this episode remind anyone else of Quantum Leap? Dude gets thrown into someone elses body and life by powers beyond his control, gets guidance from someone that only he can see, and has to save the world by righting a wrong. Now granted, Sam Beckett didn't have the Galactica in orbit to help out! ;-) Donald Bellisario who created QL was also a writer for BSG. Could this have been the germ of an idea that grew into Quantum Leap?

Underground bases for "important" leaders and an overpopulation problem. Sound familiar? It seems like our own terra has ben under the control of the Eastern Alliance. Suck to be part of the general populace doesn't it?
