On watching the previous episode, "Jeans Confidential", which I enjoyed and (appropriately) fixates on the fashion/consumer aspect of the subject, I was dismayed to see the early parts of this episode covering similar aspects of pet ownership, namely Palm Beach fashion tastes, (IMO bizarre) pet indulgences, etc.
The comments to date support strongly with this assessment.
I was seconds away from deleting the entire series from my queue, assuming they were all fashion oriented, but since H&R Block was offering a commercial-free viewing, I skipped past what normally would have been a commercial break and discovered that the episode has more meat than mere observations about fashion and trends. (Aside: Hulu and content licensees should consider this use-case and offer low-volume content with few-to-no commecials to build an audience).
I'm still not through with the show, but so far I've found it refreshing to find segments that portray owners who have a more pragmatic view of pets -- they value them, but do not wish to conflate them with humans.
So, so far, ~20min in, I'd say worth watching.
